A friend of mine is seeing a girl named Ascension.

I was like, “Ascension ? Isn’t it the name of a Christian holiday in May ?” (耶稣升天节)
My colleague Samia also found it rare as a name, but then she told me, each day in the Christian calendar carries the name of a Saint (For example, today is April 17th, it’s the day of Saint Anicet, ok you’re not familiar with this name, me neither. Well, this Sunday will be the day of Emma, see what I mean ?). So many people, especially religious people, would name their child after the name of the Saint du jour. Sadly, for some kids, their name isn’t as Christian as their parents thought. See, the national holiday in French is Fête Nationale, and it’s marked as “Fête Nat” on the Calendar, yes, that’s how some parents in other French speaking countries name their kid if he/she is born on July 14th, Fêtenat. Original huh ? Beats “Ascension” anyway.

Come to think of it, these people won’t feel pretty special any more if they realize the number of guys who are named 国庆 in China.

I was walking back home, almost arrived, then it suddenly hit me, it’s been what, 5 months ? since we’ve moved into this apartment, the janitor of the building has finally changed the name tag on the buzzer of the entrance. Except that she only replaced the former guy’s name with Steph’s surname and kept the former girl’s surname. So now anyone who wants to be buzzed in has to find the “Wong/Leclercq” button (The former tenants of our apartment was also a mixed couple). I’m sure my friends will be quite confused.

What was she thinking ?! She supposed all Chinese are named Wong or what ? I hardly see her and have only talked to her once, maybe not even once maybe I was dreaming or something, how could she be sure that I’m Chinese too ? I could be Korean or Thai with a long surname that she can’t even pronounce nor find enough place to write on the name tag (Maybe that’s why she’s sticking to Wong..but isn’t mine even shorter ?! She did rewrote the “Wong”)

Or maybe that’s the problem, since she hardly sees me, and with my Asian face she took it for granted that maybe the former girl kicked out the old dude and found a new one. Poor Steph, in that case he must have received some weird looks, he’s confronted the janitor a couple of times for some missing letters issue <_<

*sigh* gotta talk to this lady…

Bread & Butter应该是欧洲时装展最重要，场面最大，参与人数最多的一个Salon吧，吸引了很多全球各地的买家，走在B&B的展会里，和形形色色的时尚人擦肩而过，平时让我精神抖擞的OL套装和那些自成一格的visitor比起来实在相形见拙，也更加让我觉得，在时装界混饭吃，装饰自身比修饰CV重要。

翻出一张照片，确切地说是讨来的，有点后悔当时”灭迹“得太冲动，连这一张也一并灭掉了。

那时的笑容，是多么的不同，非常成功地掩饰了对未来的疑惑，浪花里只有我们。

四年过去了，朱家尖的沙滩别来无恙吧？

老实说，虽然满城都是Twilight的电影海报，但都一直没能引起我的兴趣。直到同事萨米娅买了书在出差去慕尼黑路上看得津津有味，并告诉我电影是因为这套书的热卖才拍的，比哈里波特还好看云云，我才在好奇心的驱使下买了Twilight原版的第一本(中文翻译为《暮光之城》），之后便一发不可收拾，在第一本还没结束前就赶紧买了其余的三本，没日没夜的啃。

可能因为大多女生都有一个平凡的躯壳但都渴望成为他特殊的她吧，可能大多女生都有过一个Edward和Jacob吧，我非常理解为什么这套书会热卖。很久没有看这类读了让人飘飘然，心里却一把火的书了，feeling sixteen again.
